What is the secret to timing the gears. Do they have timing marks and a mark on the housing?
From the service manual.
"IMPORTANT: Be sure to align V marks on planetary pinions with v marks on sun pinion"
The planetary pinions are the 3 gears and the sun pinion is one of the center gears. If they are not timed correctly they will bind up and destroy themselves. After I assemble it, I always like to rotate the gears a bunch to make sure they don't start to bind. |
