NC IA | My opinion, no advantage one way or the other, when talking IH vs cummins, in the 1660/80.
Now if we're talking the lower RPM cummins like '93 and newer, then yes I'd say hands down cummins is the better engine.
Any combine that is more or less 25 years old (or any age for that matter) is at risk of self ventilating at any time for some random freak (or not so freak) reason. There's a long list of other things that would keep me awake at night ahead of worrying if my combine engine's gonna blow.
