central - east central Minnesota - | BLS - 12/20/2014 06:35 I am going to purchase a new hot water washer to use primarily to clean equipment. My local dealer is suggesting 4 GPM at 3000 PSI. Is this an adequate size for periodic equipment cleaning? It's water volume and less pressure too clean equipment . . . .. if your outlet to the pressure washer can put out 5,6 or7 gals per minute, I'd be looking for high volume lower pressure type washer. Twp just installed a Landra fixed unit - 5gal per min and 2300 psi, turned down to 1500 psi on the unloader valve, it's Nat Gas. It was less money then a 4 gpm / 3000 psi unit. More pressure is hard on paint, trim and graphix of units being washed. Less pressure leads to much less fatigue went operating the wand also. My 2¢ |
