Northern Illinois | At meeting I went to yesterday the FSA suggested that we consider reallocating (they can not tell us what to do) if it benefits us. They thought and UofI guy who spoke later said that the following order is likely to have the greatest payout under the current program
Corn
Wheat
Soybeans
1. So reallocate if you can increase your corn base
2.. Reallocate if you can increase your wheat base without decreasing your corn base
3. Reallocate if you can increase your soybean base without decreasing your corn or wheat base.
They did not address the situation where you might increase your soybean base but by doing so you take "x" number of acres away from corn and into wheat. | |
