Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow | A little off the topic but. I suspect we don't yet appreciate the whole soymeal DDGs dynamic. Somebody needs to spend some time putting together some supply/demand charts on this topic (I will try if I get some time). I suspect that we don't yet fully appreciate the demand for plant protein meal (soy & ddgs) both domestically and export. For example, the trucker hauling my corn to the ethanol plant reports that the wait line for ddgs is far longer than the wait line to unload corn. Apparently ddgs have become so integrated into dairy rations here the local ethanol plants just can't keep up and it is a full blown crisis if production falters. Dairy rations here have become corn on steroids (ground corn plus ddgs). What makes this all the more surprising to me is that we are supposedly sitting on bumper soy stocks with our local crushers going around the clock.
