I know for a fact that clover WILL grow just thrown on the ground. Hence the term "frost seeding". I have broadcast it before with very good results too.

The NH3 on the other hand I have no idea about. Don't know if it would burn the seed or not. I suppose it would depend on soil moisture when applied and how soon it rained after the seed and NH3 were both put down.

FWIW I know a lot of ppl on here are scared of putting NH3 on too close to planting, but in a pinch I've done it within 24hrs of planting corn and never had any trouble with seedling burn. So it could be one of those deals where a guy would try and see. Heck maybe somebody has done it before and will chime in
