I have a John Deere field cultivator that does the exact same thing. It might be ok to use it on loose ground or sand but I was breaking hard clay in the spring and that thing just wasn't holding up at all. Seems like I even broke a couple of shanks off. I can get most of the parts from Shoup. I used heavy duty threaded rod on a couple of them to get finished.
