Subject: RE: some cows

Central Texas
Everything I buy in a particular week goes into my receiving pen where there is hay in a ring feeder and fenceline bunks. They stay there until Monday or Tuesday when I process them, usually Monday. A big reason they stay in the receiving pen a few days is most of my cross fencing is electric and there is a training wire in the receiving pen. They are turned out with other cows as soon as processed.

As far as processing, They get numbered ear tags, injectable wormer, blackleg vaccine and usually put in cheap permethrin fly tag for winter lice control or pouron for flies.
