Have a 740 set up like yours and had a 575 before that. The 575 had a square bar concave and I could do a better job threshing with that then the round bar in the 740. I am going to change concave to a HHS interchangeable concave before next season. This concave has interchangeable sections in the front half and is a round bar on the back half. The interchangeable sections are the same as the preconcaves. It is not a cheap part nor an easy job to switch the whole thing but once done it is just a few minutes to change the inserts. Then it can go from corn to beans to wheat quick and easy. Should do a better job in green stem beans too. I appreciate the fact that you stated harvest went well and everyone was safe, didn't work out that way for me. Can't go into details but one of my trucks got totaled out, my driver hurt, other driver killed and children in the hospital now for over a month.
