Louise, TX | I am running two field level systems. One in a 340 Case and the other in a 8335r works just as good in either color. I have been running system for three years now, and would not go back to laser (ran one for 13 years). The only problem we have had is on occasion the system will have a slight elevation change (.25-1") due to receiving bad signal from satellite. With it you can run in extreme conditions like (dusty, foggy, or windy), that would shut you down if running a laser.
Between several friends, we can have up to 10 scrapers running with all but two having field level II. We do a lot of NRCS work leveling rice fields in order to reduce water usage, and they have to check leveling job before we get paid. We have never had a field not pass ( no place in field can be +/- .1 off design elevation).
We all mainly farm and use Trimble autopilot RTK, and it works great in green tractors. If you have a good dealer you will be satisfied. | |
