Sorry to hear of the vandalism. That's pretty cool to know about how packed the trail still is. Reminds me of when I was a little boy and walked with my dad across some ranches in Oklahoma. We'd spot some old wagon trails where nothing grew in the wheel tracks. It had been several decades since they'd seen use, but still nothing grew there.
Anyone studied about the Chisholm Trail?
