Your gray cat looks a lot like my former Tux.  We lost him about a year ago.  He was special to us and I still miss him, he would always come when I whistled as you would for a dog.

We discovered he was a Maine Coon Cat.  
Below is Tux as a kitten and then on the deck by himself and then with the boniest cat I ever saw.  The orange cat was like a skeleton with fur stretched over it.  Nobody liked to pet him.
