In regards to center of back, my class instructor told our CCW class that was the last place you wanted to put it. Only benefit to that spot is concealment which if you bend over chances are your shirt may ride up anyways. If you are in a fight and end up on your back, there will be no way to pull your weapon, and as stated it can hurt you. I also like right on the hip...
