Subject: RE: planting corn in flood zone

jackson county WI
We have some river bottom ground. The corn was 3ft under water at one point this summer. I have no idea how it survived but it did. I put a little N down with planter, put a little more down when it about 8-10in tall and then put the last pass of N down just before I can't get through it anymore. We use urea and ams and just spread with tractor and fert buggy. I thought at one time of trying to get coop with high clearance rig to do last pass a little later but I can't trust that they could get it done so I just use what I got to work with.
