It seems like beef calves are large this spring - even out of a "low birth weight bull" on heifers. One Hereford heifer just had a nice bull calf near 100 lbs yesterday. I've had several that have high birthweights. A couple more experienced friends have said these big calves may be related to the extremely cold and snowy winter here in WI. Anyone else seen this?
