| i just got out of the situation your diving into 7 months ago. had 5-7 does running on about an acre. fenced it with first with 5 electric strands. they went right through without trying. you have to have woven wire or hog pannels to keep them in. i had lots of problems with worms i think. i wormed them but still had problems. recommend that you have a disciplined worming program and that you make sure you supplement mineral especially selenium. i got out cause they kept dieing on me and i couldn't afford to keep paying vet bill for fun. my kidding perecentages were really bad as well. had lots that would die within first week on the ground. do your homework before you dive in headfirst like i did. really helps to know someone that knows about boer goats that is readily accessible. the meat is phenomenal....just wish i could've kept mine alive...they were fun when they were healthy. i guess you could say i was a horse sh*t goat farmer. | |
