West-central Illinois | A calf i noticed yesterday had scours and didn't look particularly energetic. This morning I gave it 4 mL of Tetradure (oxytetracycline). About 1 hr later I went to check on it and take the temp; calf was standing with tounge out of mouth breathing heavy. I was taking temp and decided to give 2 mL of Banamine..almost immediately after giving the Banamine, it started to wobble and fell down and shortly after quit breathing. Was this a reaction to either medicine or was I just too late treating the scour problem? New to the cow/calf business. | |
