WC Illinois/SE Iowa | Last night at about five, combine (Case IH) blew an hydraulic hose. Got it off and headed to town to AGCO dealer who repairs hydraulic hoses regardless of brand, does a great job, and is only ten minutes away. They close at six, but we made it in time. They didn't happen to have one end for this particular hose in the size we needed. They were just out of them. Okay, no biggie, on to plan B. Called the IH dealer that does happen to stay open a little longer this time of year, but is a half hour in the other direction from our starting point. They didn't have the actual hose at that store, but did at another store even 20 miles further away. Here is where the "atta boy" comes in. That Parts guy drove to the other store, got the hoses, and laid them outside for us to pick up. Two hour round trip for one of us, but got the hoses ready to be put on this morning. And this combine was not purchased at this dealership. We do a lot of business there parts wise, but even when the equipment isn't purchased at their dealership, they do a great job of helping out.
