Subject: RE: 3162 draper

Murdock, Nebraska
Didn't get to demo the 3162 since it was set up for a flagship combine. So the dealer brought out a new Macdon FD 75-s (35 footer). Was running it in severely lodged beans that had 4 feet of water on them about a month ago. Beans were running from 55 to 70. Started with my 25 foot 3020 (2.5 to 3.0 mph was my speed in order to do a good job) and was extremely frustrated with that on the first semi load. Put the draper on around 11 today and couldn't have been happier. Ran the same speed and was doing an excellent job of cutting. Was extremely impressed. Draper saved me an extreme amount of time. My dealer saved me from cursing and having a huge headache at the end of the day. Thanks to them. Couldn't have been happier with my demo. Might have to own one someday.
