south east Indiana | Several years ago I read a book entitled The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. If you have not read it I would, it is great. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer and this was what he wrote for his young children to tell them about himself and give them advice that would serve them well in their lives.
He basically says we do not control the cards we are dealt but we can control our reaction and the effect things have on our lives. I personally let too many things bother me and do not deal with stress real well. I tend to reread his book when I am having a hard time. It is a very positive uplifting book. I believe his lecture to his college students is on the net somewhere as well. | |
