OMG Boog! It can't be! According to everyone on here there is nothing happening at any of the elevators. There is a couple of things at play with the line situation. First and foremost commercial storage was almost 100% empty going into this harvest. Second is the fact that harvest this year is stretching out into a little longer window than normal which lets even a big crop funnel into storage without as many headaches. Especially when commercial storage was empty to begin with. You also have to consider the staggering amount of commercial and on farm storage that has been built over the last ten years. This crop is not as big as USDA has been saying all along but it is big. It will eventually get put away too. I think toward the end of harvest, whenever that may be, you will see some piles here and there. Oh and lets not forget that a lot of this crop went into the pipeline right away due to strong demand. It's still a big crop even though people aren't sitting in widespread lines and corn is not being dumped on the ground.

We were told all summer of all the bushels of old crop that was out there and had to come to town. Apparently they got used up also?

There's piles of corn somewhere, every year, except 2012.

I agree,Big crop, BUT how big? Way over hyped and over stated. How many corn acres would a 4.30-4.40 spring price plant?
