I was in Wisconsin a couple of months ago. It looked to me like the dairy industry is very much alive & kicking.

My first trip to WI was in 1987 or 88. Since then I have been in the state half a dozen times. Dairy farming has really changed a lot in WI in that time. Some of the changes were slow in coming, but WI seems to be making up for lost time.

With California's environmental regulations, drought, etc., I think WI may get its #1 milk production spot back sometime in the future.
