Beresford, SD | I won't feed any of the corn in the bags until next July........And I like the small face the bag creates while feeding it. Plus, the moisture of the corn is not critical in a bag....bagged any where from 14.5% to 32% in the same bag....it just keeps. Looked at some large bunkers full of rolled wet corn it is awful hard to keep the face fresh. Bagging has worked for us for 25+ years but hopefully this will be the last.......Putting up earlage is just so much faster and you get more feed per acre and no plastic. Would have put it all up as earlage this year but with the amount of silage I put up I'd have way to much roughage for my program........next year.
