Wi | I carry a sunwayman V11R. You can dial it from 0-500lumens but still uses and click switch for on/off which is nice. Has the best clip of any light I've ever had. Never fallen out of my pocket. Uses CR123 or 16340 batteries. Can use AA or 14500s with the optional extender.

Preon P2 from foursevens is one of the brightest pen lights if that's what you are into. Uses AAA's and puts out 190 lumens on top level. The tail switch is a little too soft though and it automatically starts on the lowest setting and you have to click it to go to medium and then high. If you buy a streamlight stylus, save the extra rubber and use that for a tail switch in the P2.
Streamlight stylus pro is a great pen light that's very popular. Uses AAA's and new ones out out 65 lumens older ones were 48 lumens. They are cheaper so it doesn't suck as much when you loose them.
Coast is another brand with great pen lights. They also have a USB rechargeable one if you like that style better.
To me headlights are not really everyday carry lights, at least I don't walk around all day with one on but the are nice when working on things and at night for other tasks. I like zebralights. H602w for working on stuff. It's a super flood light with neutral color and 1000 lumens. H600w is nice if you are working outside and the stuff you are doing is further than Arms reach. You can out some diffuser tape on it for a bit more flood. It's neutral colored with 1000 lumens as well. Both lights use 18650 batteries.
