Eastern Shore of MD
As a regular subscriber who lives on the Delmarva Peninsula, I can assure you that The Delmarva Farmer is not a free publication. I think I pay $28 per year. Augusta Seed became a major advertiser about 5 years ago with a full wrap of the fall issues. Despite being an Augusta customer, I find their advertising to be overbearing and annoying but it must work for them given the amount of money they spend.

I will say that The Delmarva Farmer is the best ag publication I recieve. The articles are fair and are not fluff pieces for advertisers. The reporters are knowledgeable about ag (a rarity in this area) and they have regular contributions from University researchers. I have had several folks from other parts of the country say they subscribe to learn what the next environmental battle coming to their area will be. At times, living in the Chesapeake Bay watershed is like being the canary in the coal mine for agriculture.
