Health care business is very lucrative starting with the insurance companies through the health care providers, So do you think they want any changes to their cash cow? No way plus they have the politicians in their pockets. Just before elections the politicians say things that appeal to the middle class, but as soon as they are elected they go back to serving their biggest campaign donors. To those people with their money the health insurance is pocket change to them.
Dave my wife who is a retired burn unit and OR nurse always comments when travelling in US at all the new medical facilities going up and hoe they look like a Grand Hotel . I know we end up paying for our system in taxes but my believe is anybody willing too work or try to look after themselves to the best of there abilities deserves decent food,housing and health care . Now if you are a fifth generation Indian status you can get all that and just skip the working part. |
