Bourbon,Indiana

I found out I have other problems to worry about. Was running good today in beans. Turned on the end rows to dump and the combine squatted. I was looking at the sky.

I figured it was the rear axle that broke as they tend to do on Axial flows. But when I got out to check it out......the bolts in the rear wheel which were installed in 1994.......today they decided to come out. Looks like they fell out during the afternoon and the last couple could not take the load as I was turning and pulled out.

Rim is shot, hub threads don't look good so I will be up to Leesburg bright and early to rummage through the boneyard. Plymouth did have new studs and hubcap but nearest rim was Missouri.

So much for making use of the good weather??

Also.....why did they decide to come loose today?? I have not done anything out of normal. I know I was close to the wheel when greasing the spindle today prior to running, and did not notice anything. That has me worried too.....I will be double checking all the other wheels.
