SW Minnesota | I have a Westfield MK100-51 auger. When purchased, it came with a standard hopper. I wanted a low-profile hopper for it so late last fall I located one off a damaged MK100 on an insurance bid site. When I tried it out today, the head of the hopper auger where it joins the main auger wobbles. It looks like the shaft coming out of the gearbox that the hopper auger is attached is bent (or possibly the upper end of the auger shaft).
So, since I can't locate any Westfield parts catalogs online to check part numbers, can anyone tell me if the gearbox in my standard hopper is the same as the one used in the low-profile hopper? How about the inclined hopper auger? If they are, I could just swap them out and fix the shaft some other time when we're not busy with harvest. | |
