My tire guy showed me something like that for skid steers. For the skid steers they are like $1000 a piece. He has not sold any yet.
Yes for a skid steer they are just over 1k each. Other airless tires are $700-900 and are much more rigid leading to increased costs repairing the machine, poor traction, and an unhappy operator. Tweel tread life is just as long as most solids and it is retread able. At the end of the day IMO it's the better option financially providing you need an airless tire. The only application I wouldn't use them in is demolition as sharp protruding objects can cut the spokes. |
