Like others have said , See if you can buy them out . Not to be rude but , your in laws need to get their priorities in line.Since it sounds like they don't care when the cattle get fed or, milked. It will never be easy working with family. It sounds like they are threatened by you taking over management which is the reason they don't want to let go.
