How low is the IQ of the American public?

I see ad after ad saying such and such is going to wipe out Social Security or stop Medicare or some other government program.  These people are running for the senate, not emperor.  Then there's that thing about money bills originating in the house, not the senate that kind of stops a senator from shutting down the EPA or overriding a Supreme Court ruling.  And bills that do originate in the senate have to go through the house and lastly they need to be signed by the President unless both houses override the veto by a 2/3 vote.  That would be something.

I'm not only sick of the ads but sick of the stupidity they are evidently pandering to. Edit; pandering to the most ignorant.
