N.E. MO | DevinF, definitely don't base your decision on this, but I asked Dad what he disliked about the Macdon while I had him on the phone tonight. Said he really disliked the sickles, broke several. Also something about when it flexed or hinged or whatever the Macdon does, it sometimes would stop the belts driving the cutter bar or something. Sorry I don't have more details. I do know that this guy is very familiar with equipment; lifelong farmer that runs many acres and an earth moving business as well. He usually ran this head himself. Had the Macdon people there a few times and never got any satisfaction. As highly thought of as they are on this sight, he must have had a bad one or something. As stated, I was never around it personally. This is in NE MO. How are things in the St. Joseph area? | |
