Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow | You've asked this question before so you must be think carefully about it for yourself, as I am. I did some numbers and I think they show clearly that if you believe the price next year will rise (at least for some period) then buying Dec15 futures will be more profitable than growing the corn itself. But the risk of a further substantial decline for an extended period is real.
My own guess is that the price will continue to decline at least through the end of Nov. and maybe into Jan. If the bottom has already occurred then it may be too late the Dec 15 price will likely get back to a level where you can sell and make out.
