I looked at the pics it is viking cruises ships and they look like REAL luxury. When did you do your thing? It is costly and we are thinking of 4 days in Israel and visit Peta in Jordan plus the I think 8 days in Egypt. Might as well get the whole load at a one time flight.
Ben we went in Feb. 2008 and AMA did the cruise & tours ,excellent food,guides,ect. The "cruise ships we seen/ had held maybe 150 people and were more than adequate,good food,crew ,ect. but sure didn't look like the cruise ships Viking runs on the rivers in Europe . Remember to take toilet paper on excursions because its 10 cents a square from the older ladies at the historic sites,even at Cairo airport washrooms....and some of the real old places you just have a hole in the floor so wife should practise a bit before going. How things are different there we had 2 busloads of Canadians and Americans and going from Alexandria to Cairo 1 bus had a flat tire so they piled everybody on 1 bus and bus driver pulled out a spare and changed tire as we took bus too next stop. Lots of security everywhere . Had 0 bad experiences there. |
