Subject: squirrel corn

nw/nc iowa on the banks of West Buttrick Creek..
Dryers are full so took the evening off, went to church supper and then grocery shopping. Heck of a deal on squirrel corn. 14 pounds of ear corn for 8 dollars. How much corn grain is there in 14 lbs of ear corn. Old figures were .4 bu corn in cubic foot of ear corn and .8 corn in a cubic foot of shelled corn, so is that 14 pounds actually 50% corn. So am I figuring correctly that they are charging 64 bucks a bushel to feed a xxxxxxx squirrel.???? It's all about marketing.!!!!Please correct me if I am wrong, it seems high, but what isn't, oh ya corn and soybeans at the elevator.
