If this is on the CAN Bus system John Deere has a safety message that will automatically disengage a Trimble Autopilot whenever the tractor is placed in park. This safety message also disengages the Autopilot if it was engaged while the tractor was not moving. As long as you are moving forward and then hit the factory engage button it should stay engaged.
