Lapel, In | Went to a 4H pig sale today at Tipton, In. Heard a farmer say they can't give pigs away so they are gassing small pigs in Iowa? Don't know where he was from. It could have been Iowa.Breeders came from all over.Talk about a PR nighmare if the press gets a hold of this if its true ,when Hatians are eating dirt.
Top selling Hamp cross brought $350 . Duroc second at $340. Lots of $85 sales with even more no sales. With the price of gas and diesel. the show pig business must be a tough row to hoe.
