| Figuring 200 bushel corn, 70% hedged @ 4.80, 0% cash sold.
Figuring 60 bushel beans, 88% hedged @ 12.40, 12% cash sold @ 11.85.
2015 corn, 10% hedged @ 5.05
2015 beans, 30% hedged @ 11.00, 30% hedged @ 10.00
Obviously I feel good about my hedges at this time. I have to give credit to my grain broker for talking me into some of these hedges. I do not have RA insurance so I hedge to protect the downside. DISCLAIMER: My broker does not make me money every year, in fact usually loses a little. | |
