This talks about a possibility to downgrade. However not for long, and it would look like time has run out.
Apple appears to have reached that level of diminished returns. For a long time their new upgrades had some neat feature you put up with changes and shortcomings, because the good stuff was worth it.
Like Windows, we are at a point where it does what we want, quit messing with it, I want to use it, not keep relearning it every 12 months and losing small features I liked......
