northwest Indiana
I have taken 15mg of Meloxicam daily for several years. I have not had any problems with my stomach since the first two weeks. I do have to be careful about other NSAIDs like aspirin or ibuprofen. If I take them I have problems with bleeding from my nose (or other orfices) at times. And a minor scrape or cut can bleed way more that anyone would like. On the plus side, it does the best job of controlling my arthritis pain of anything I have ever taken. In fact, when I had a knee replaced last year I had to discontinue the drug for two weeks prior to surgery, and it about killed me. Just use care when taking it, and pay attention to what your body is telling you.
