That would seem to put a lot of stress on that router bit.  I'd be concerned it might break if you got too aggressive.

Watched his other video making a square end on a spindle.  Was neat the way he used a board to hold the spindle 180º but then I was surprised he just put a square on the lathe for the 90º.

I need a jig to build a jig so watching this guy with his clamps etc. was impressive.
