My definition of a low water crossing is described like this............take a track hoe and dig down below the current creek bed area you want to cross, dig down maybe three or four feet. With the same track hoe, fill that "hole" with rock up to the level of the creek bed. That way you have a very solid base to cross and it doesn't wash out.
