Michigan - Saginaw County
Isn't that amazing, J. Here near Saginaw we are drowning.
I was in the thumb last week. Significant amounts of disease seen. I am seeing a minimum of 10% loss overall and likely much higher. Of course, some fields are clean and some have areas so bad the stalks have turned brown and shed the leaves and pods. Nothing but sticks.
My fields are green. Still have blossoms on maybe 15% (will not become pods this late of course)
At this point it is the best beans ever for me - but with the constant rain and fog mold could sweep through my fields like a wildfire at any time.
Praying for the weather to hold warm long enough to mature more beans and help offset the corn losses I have.
Gosh this farming is 'fun'.
