The reason I posted these pictures is to show the result of very little rain (.7) in July. These plants would have been pretty well dead if not for 2" in early August. As far as yield I'm looking at around 150 if the lighter soil area is not hurt too much. My main concern is the dry open husk on the ears and the fact that most are pointing down today. Last year under the same conditions some of ears started to hit the ground forcing me to stop running soybeans. Most years I spend at least the first two weeks of October depending on weather getting my soybeans harvested then start on corn the last week of October. Last night's and this morning's predicted heavy rain showers went South of me again. I got the road wet twice today.
