Subject: RE: Type 1 diabetics

Durand, WI
I was diagnosed 20 years ago and have used the pump for 10. I too was tired of giving myself shots but mostly the hassle of being out to eat, or at a wedding etc. and trying to decide when and where to inject. For me the pump was (is) a huge convenience and at this point in my life would not want to consider going back to four shots a day. One thing to consider is that the pump is on you always, when you go to bed, swimming or water events etc. All this can be managed around. I have never damaged a pump while at work (or any time) and do not look at that as a consideration for not getting one. A A1C of 6.3 is outstanding, congrats on that. My lowest is 7.2 and still working on my goal of getting into the 6's. I would be curious to know where you live and where you doctor. my e-mail is in my profile. Good luck to you and keep up your good work.
