Subject: RE: Monsanto/Pioneer Raising seed prices

Burlington, IA

I've been told I should have my NuTech price list any time now, should be in the mail. NuTech's prices will be sideways to down, is my understanding. I do know that their price for seed treatment for soybeans will be the same as last year's. The only way I could see that changing would be if they would add the component they're looking at, that is supposed to help fight SDS, and that decision is at least a month off. If it's added, I could see them holding the line on the treatment price this year, and taking a loss on that particular component, or I could see them raising the treatment price slightly, but still not passing the entire cost on. They might even decide to hold off a year, since it's new. We'll see.
