ne MD | We use them on our 3960. It is a little difficult to see if every thing is straight. We usually try to hook up in a little bit of a curve for the tractor and harvester (head on outside), makes it much easier to see what you need to see. Our adapter plate for the quick hitch on the chopper is just a piece of the widest drilled flat flat iron (3-4" ?) that will fit inside the place where the tractor drawbar would go. I think our plate is 3/4-1" thick. We would eventually like to lower the one on our chopper some, because the hitch on the chopper is higher off the ground than the tractor drawbars are. We have to set that thing that holds up the wagon tongue down far enough that it drags sometimes when the wagons are hooked to a tractor. | |
