| On some of the older 20 series the aspirator portion of the muffler did not work very well, so there was not enough vacuum to allow the air cleaner aspirator to do its job. An easy way to check the aspirator function is to disconnect the aspirator line at the air filter, operate the engine at full throttle, and hold a handful of floor dry next to the aspirator line at the filter housing. A properly working aspirator should "vacuum" the floor dry out of your hand. If not, the muffler may need replaced. | |
