Coldwater, Michigan | Sound proof I don't know. One thing I learned over time was that when we had just the window down we heard a lot of the traffic. Not bad, we just heard it. With the storm window down as well, we just never heard the traffic, unless we really listened. We bought new windows, they seem to stop a lot more heat transfer, but we hear more road noise. Multilayered windows seems to be quieter.
