Sieve area on my CR 8090 is 10075 sq. Inches. I had a CR970 and it was also over 10,000 sq inches of sieve area. All of the large frame combines have 22 in rotors and 10,075 in of sieve area.
It is if you count the pre-sieve area. But as most know who have run an AFX Case combine or a CR (they have the same cleaning system), the pre-sieves have hardly any air coming through them and they need to be run right or closed to keep all the trash from falling through and going straight to the tank and/or overload the returns. Muddy is quoting the chaffer and lower sieve area, which is really the only working cleaning area on an AFX or CR. |
